Absent Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Absent ("the Application"), developed by Dattara Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Application immediately.

2. License & Usage

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Absent for its intended purpose: reducing digital distraction and increasing intentionality.

  • • You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application.
  • • You agree not to use the Application for any illegal activities.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

Absent offers "Pro" features via Quarterly and Yearly subscriptions, as well as a one-time Lifetime purchase.

  • • Billing: All transactions are handled securely through the Google Play Store. Your payment method on file with Google will be charged at the start of each billing cycle.
  • • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Google Play Store settings. Access to Pro features will continue until the end of your current paid period.
  • • Refunds: All refund requests are governed by Google Play’s standard refund policy.

4. The "Fair Trial" Period

Absent provides a 7-day trial of Pro features.

  • • We use "Fair Trial" logic: the trial consists of 7 unique days of active usage, rather than 7 consecutive calendar days.
  • • Once these 7 active days are exhausted, Pro features will lock until a purchase is made.

5. Privacy & Data (Local-First)

Your privacy is our core engineering principle.

  • • Local Processing: All app usage monitoring, notification filtering, and thought capturing happen strictly on your hardware.
  • • No Accounts: We do not require or create user accounts.
  • • Third-Parties: We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status and MET Norway for weather data. Neither of these services receives your personal usage habits or notification content.

6. Limitation of Liability

Absent is provided "as is." While we engineer for stability, Dattara Apps is not responsible for any missed notifications, alarms that fail to fire due to system-level battery optimizations, or any data loss resulting from device failure or uninstallation.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to Pro features if you violate these terms (e.g., fraudulent payment activity). You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Application.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction (or the jurisdiction where Dattara Apps is registered).
