NIVAROA Privacy Policy

NIVAROA is designed for aesthetic clarity, live weather skies, and serene home screen organization. We respect your privacy and prioritize local-first data processing. This Privacy Policy explains how NIVAROA handles information when you use our Android launcher.

1. Information Collection & Permissions

To provide immersive weather canvases, interactive widgets, and launcher functionality, NIVAROA requests specific device permissions:

• • Location Data (Coarse Location Only): Used exclusively to fetch approximate local weather forecasts from MET Norway via coarse location (`ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION`) to render live weather particle skies and celestial solar phases. Coordinates are transmitted securely and never stored or shared for advertising.
• • Installed Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Queried locally on your device to display your installed applications in the categorized app drawer and dock.
• • Calendar Events (READ_CALENDAR): Used locally to display upcoming schedule events in the interactive Month Calendar and Hourly Weather Timeline widgets. Calendar data is never uploaded or transmitted.
• • Biometric Authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC): Used locally for the Biometric Hidden App Vault to secure sensitive apps behind your device's fingerprint or face unlock.

2. Local-First Data Storage

Your sticky notes, tasks, calendar highlights, and launcher preferences are stored locally on your hardware in a secure local database. We do not maintain external cloud servers for your personal notes or app usage data.

3. Third-Party Services & Monetization

NIVAROA integrates standard third-party services to support core features and optional monetization:

• • Google AdMob: Displays banner ads and rewarded ads (used for temporary 15-minute feature passes). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage metrics in accordance with Google's privacy policies.
• • Google Play Billing: Securely processes in-app purchases and subscriptions for NIVAROA Pro. Financial transactions are handled entirely by Google Play.
• • MET Norway Weather API: Processes anonymous location queries to return live meteorological conditions.

4. Your Control & Data Deletion

You maintain full control over your data:

• • In-App Management: You can clear sticky notes, reset preferences, or modify vault settings directly within NIVAROA Settings.
• • Uninstallation: Uninstalling the application permanently removes the local database and all associated device records.
